Can my credit card company automatically take money from my current account without my authorisation??
I bank with barclays and I also have a credit card with barclays and I missed two months payments as I simply could not make ends meet and was struggling after losing my job. I wrote to my bank and told them, however when I checked my account one day I noticed that ovwe £280.00 had gone and when I checked my statement it was removed by barclays credit card to cover what i owed. I understand I owe them money but surely they had no right to do this???
