There are agencies which specialise in helping victims of unfair credit agreements seek a refund. These agencies charge a fee to carry out the process. The claim process will not be completed overnight since it involves a lengthy …

It has become a lifestyle, charging things we can’t pay for and running up huge amounts of debt. Some people can handle this but for many more this way of life makes for hard times ahead. It’s easy to fall behind and all the while your credit score is taking a dive. Fortunately rebuilding your credit score is possible if you put forth the effort.

There is no “trick” to raising your scores. There’s nothing you can sign up for or buy that will instantly fix your credit. It is a plan to act responsibly.

The very first thing you must do is begin paying your bills on time. This is crucial, not only does this keep you from being reported every month as late you also save a lot in late fees. If you’re having trouble paying on time, contact the creditor. Many will work with you to set up a payment arrangement. If you are in too deep you may want to consider Consumer Credit Counseling Services (CCCS). Their services are free of charge and they work to consolidate your bills into one manageable payment.

You will want to work on removing inaccurate negative items as well. You have every right to dispute inaccurate items with your creditors and by law if they can’t prove them inaccurate they must be removed or corrected.

It’s far too easy to do nothing about your credit. Rebuilding your credit score will take some work, but the results are well worth the effort.

If you are in need of Credit Repair for any reason, take the first step and Click Here!

Debt affects millions of people across the U.K. If you are one of them, take a few minutes to read the following article to discover some of the ways you can clear debt and look forward to a fresh start.

1. Budget

Having a budget, and most importantly sticking to it, is vital if you are to clear debt effectively. This involves sitting down and looking in detail at your income and expenditure, and identifying ways in which you can save money. Start by looking at how much money you owe and then put in place a plan to save enough money each month to pay it off.

2. Free Up Capital

The longer you leave debt, the more interest you are likely to incur, so paying it off as early as possible makes sense in the long run. If possible, free up as much capital as you can and pay off your creditors. This can be achieved, in many cases, by downsizing.

3. Downsize

Downsizing is a great way to free up equity and reduce the burden of large monthly payments. For example, moving house could help you to reduce your mortgage bills significantly, whilst also trimming utility bills.

The same goes for your car. If you car is expensive to run, then selling it could free up some vital money to clear debt.

4. Make Cut Backs

Most of us are having to make cut backs at the moment, but for those who are looking to clear debt, this is all the more apparent. Doing the weekly shop at a budget supermarket, for example, is just one of the ways you can make cost savings, without having to change your lifestyle. Most people will identify several areas they can cut back on, for example limiting the amount they spend on clothes or nights out.

5. Consolidate Loans

Consolidating loans and credit agreements into one manageable monthly repayment is an attractive option for many people looking to clear debt. Bear in mind, however, that the companies who provide this service make a profit, so you will end up paying an additional charge, on top of your loan repayments.

Taking the time to organise your own finances could be better in the long run, as not only will it save you money, but it will also help you to avoid falling into the same trap in the future.

6. IVAs

Independent Voluntary Agreements are similar to consolidating your loans, in that they involve contracting a debt management company to negotiate with creditors on your behalf. Often, this will result in reduced debt repayments.

7. Challenge Credit Agreements

Under the terms of the Consumer Credit Act (1974) credit agreements such as loans and hire purchase agreements must meet up to a series of criteria, in order to be considered legally binding. If this is not the case, then you may have a case to challenge the credit agreements and see the debt wiped off.

There are many companies who can help and advise you on whether or not your credit agreements are unfair, and therefore unenforceable. This is one of the most popular avenues which are explored by those who are looking to clear debt.

Now you know more about how you can clear debt, and how to get help, is now the right time to sort out your finances?

Learn more about Unfair Credit Agreements, how to Clear Debt and more with CreditClearUK.co.uk. Why not take the first step towards regaining control of your finances?

Bank Charges Debt…… I could cry?

Hi everyone, I have just been hit with bank charges and I could cry.

My phone bill money was due to be taken out today which it has been. I was going to pay the money into my account yesterday then I remembered it was bank holiday.

So the phone bill has come out of my bank account today leaving me with a balance of minus £33.26 I was going to pay the money into my account at lunch but as I was just bout to leave I checked my balance again and they had hit me with a £25 charge. I rang the bank and explained what had happened and that I was just about to go pay the money into my account. She said there's nothing she can do and that I will get charged £5 a day until I come out of negative numbers.

£5 a day!!!!! I cant afford that, I have no money till the 23rd when I get paid and by then I would of raked up about 100 quid in bank charges. I pleaded and begged with her and she told me tough basically. I even tried playing the 'your charges are illegal' but she told me that no decision has been made regarding the court case yet.

What the hell am I to do? I have had to change my bank details with my employer because I can not afford to pay these charges once my wages go in.

Hope you enjoy the read as much as I did and please if you have something to say, use the comments form below to let everyone know your thoughts.

If you need to cut down on your spending in order to sort out your debts, then you’ll need some sort of debt reduction plan.

Here are 10 ways you can reduce your debts now.

1. By prioritising your bills, you’ll be able to pay off the most important ones first. Perhaps you’ll want to make sure that your mortgage is paid first, and then the utilities, and vehicle finance, followed by your credit and store cards.

2. If you can, pay off more than the minimum amount. This will ensure that you are actually paying off what you owe, rather than just the interest.

3. Don’t use the card in the meantime. Perhaps you could destroy it, so that you’re not tempted to use it again. This will ensure that you don’t accidentally use it. If you really don’t want to destroy it, why not keep it in a safe place, and not in your purse or wallet, so that you won’t have it with you when you go shopping.

4. Save up for the things you want, rather than using a credit, or store card. You’ll have plenty of time to decide whether you really want it or not.

5. Don’t buy things on finance, even if you do get a year interest free. You’ll have to pay for them eventually.

6. Why not try and reduce your spending on luxury or non-essential items and use the money you save to pay off your debts? Do you really need more clothes, another meal out, or the latest gadgets?

7. Why not thing about swapping your car for a smaller one that costs less to buy, is more fuel efficient and costs less to tax and insure? If you buy sensibly you’ll be able to save a fortune.

8. Your credit agreements might be unenforceable, which means that if you have any credit cards, store card, vehicle finance or deferred loans, you won’t have to pay them. Why not find out if you could have your debts paid off by your creditors?

9. At the first sign that you might not be able to meet your bills, make sure you speak to your creditors and see if they can help. Most of them will be willing to help you, and it could make a big difference to you.

10. Seek help if you are struggling. The sooner you get help and advice, the sooner you’ll be able to do something about it.

No matter how much you earn, or how much you owe, it’s very easy to find yourself struggling to pay your debts. By making a few cutbacks and thinking sensibly, you’ll soon be able to make the most of your money, and begin restoring your financial situation.
